Hamiltons to Visit KZN
The Hamilton Sea Point Rugby Football Club the oldest rugby club in the country will be visiting KwaZulu Natal at the end of March to play two games in Durban. Hamilton who recently hosted the hugely successful inaugural Cape Town Tens Tournament in Sea Point, which saw the Maritzburg Varsity Numzan’s winning the Plate Trophy in the Vets section have improved immeasurably over the last five years and were unlucky not to have won the Western Province club Premier Division Town Challenge competition last year finishing the season as runners up behind Maties.
Hammies as they are affectionately known will meet Crusaders out at Ranleigh Crescent on Wednesday evening 25 March and College Rovers on Friday evening 27 March. The Cape Town side beat both these teams when they last toured here in 2007 and will no doubt be looking for the same result this time around as they prepare for the 2009 season and hopefully a collection of silverware at the end of it all.
For Crusaders and Rovers it will be an ideal way to kick start their respective seasons as well as they too want to lay claim to some of the local silverware on offer come the end of August.
